This month we focus on individual budget items along with specific legislation such as a proposed a Constitutional Amendment which would distribute 1% of New Mexico’s $12 billion Permanent Fund to early childhood programs, retention of 3rd Graders not reading at grade level, the shortfall in lottery fund scholarship monies, funding for K – 12 education, and repealing drivers licenses for “illegal” immigrants.
